A day at Mid Valley..

Today I went to Mid Valley Megamall with Janice and Diana..The two 'Tai Kar Jie'( Big Sister) asked me to accompany them to buy stuff for the upcoming New Year Countdown at Genting Highlands. Since my family is having some wedding dinner, I decided to go there and spend my time there.

When we reached our destination(4.45pm) the first we did was to survey the price of various items that we're gonna purchase(Snacks,Cup Noodles and Booze)..For some reason the price of alcohol is cheaper if u purchase it at Cold Storage(Chivas only)..

But since we have yet to have lunch..We decided to find a place to eat.. And I suggested the world famous Din Tai Fung(鼎泰峰) located underground at The Gardens..

Entrance to Din Tai Fung((鼎泰峰)

One of the dining areas available

Since Diana have to eat vegetarian food today, she has to order food that does not include meat, which means that she has to forgone the very popular and mouth watering XiaoLongPau..However the food that she ordered isnt too bad as well..

Dan Dan Mien..

Her Dan Dan Mien costs Rm10.80..The gravy is made of Peanut so its not meaty. I find it to be a bit salty though.Maybe its because of the sauce..

Vegetable Dumpling

To compensate for the XiaoLongPau , Diana ordered Vegetable Dumpling(Rm9.80). It was delicious but once u tried the XiaoLongPau, you wont want to eat this dumpling at all..Pity Diana..

Janice did not want to eat anything other than the XiaoLongPau so we ordered a combination of it and some other dumpling..

Prawn Dumpling I guess..

The World Famous XiaoLongPau Makes me drool..

The combo costs Rm18.80..The Prawn Dumpling was delicious as when u eat it the juice will flow out..I like to suck the juice out with my mouth but you can also eat it at once..Janice prefer the latter..But the skin was a bit too thick..

But the highlight of the day is of course the XiaoLongPau..I like very very much..Its not too thin nor too thick and I like the juice flowing out from the skin..Overall this dish is a must try..

I also tried the Char Jiang Mien (Rm12.00) which is ok..Not too nice..Still prefer the XiaoLongPau..Although the portion was not too big, the meal definitely made everyone of us full..

Char Jiang Mien..

After that we walked around Midvalley and I took the opportunity to take some pics of the Christmas Decorations around the area..

Diana and Janice..The retired and successor of the Treasurer of SBS SWC..Dont the two of them just look like sisters??

Another picture of the two loving 'Sisters' of SBS SWC..Guess who's older..Haha..

By the end of the day, we bought a LOT of stuffs there..Cup Noodles,Snacks and a bottle of Chivas..It was fun but we spent more than an HOUR trying to buy the most affordable cup noodles for everyone..I already recommended them to purchase the large Vermicelli packet but they refused for some reason..And in the end, it took us more than an HOUR..Lol..

But 'kudos' to Janice for 'willing' to take back all of the items back to her house first since its a bit too inconvenient for me and Diana to take it back..

Looking forward to the New Year Countdown Trip where Booze and Cup Noodles await us..

Don't Believe In Love

Dont Believe In Love - Dido

I wanna go to bed
With arms around me
But wake up on my own
Pretend
That I'm still sleeping
Til' you go home

Oh
I can't look at you
This morning
I should probably have a sign
That says
'Leave right now or quicker'
You've overstayed your time

If I don't believe in love
Nothing will last for me
If I don't believe in love
Nothing is safe for me
When I don't believe in love
You're too close to me
And that's why
You have to leave

Maybe I slept peaceful
On your shoulder
Your arm warm around my side
But it's different now
It's morning
And I can't face your smile

The second that I feel
Your safe hands
Reaching out for mine
I slip away and out of sight
You've ovestayed your time

If I don't believe in love
Nothing is good for me
If I don't believe in love
Nothing will last for me
When I don't believe in love
Nothing is new for me
Nothing is wrong for me
And nothing is real for me

When I don't believe in love
Why do you care for me?
When I don't believe in love
Nothing is real for me
If I don't believe in love
You're getting too close to me
And that's why you have to leave
And that's why you have to leave

If I don't believe in love
If I don't believe in love
If I don't believe in love
Nothing is left for me
If I don't believe in love
You're too good for me

Wisdom Tooth..

Just a few months ago ,my friend were complaining of her wisdom tooth..It has been haunting her for a few days already. I was laughing at her for being so unlucky and grateful for not having it myself.

Few months later, the inevitable has happened, I am proud to announce that I've become the latest victim of the 'Wisdom Tooth' phenomenon.

The symptoms were obvious, when I was eating there would be some weird feeling on my teeth. I thought it was something that aint serious. But today it gets worst, so I decided to look into the mirror and see if there's anything wrong. When I saw it, I have that WTF expression..Urggh..

Going to see the dentist tomorrow..Wish me luck..Christmas just keeps getting worst and worst every year..

Tea Time at Pavilion KL

After my Japanese class(Very Tough) at Kl Plaza I decided to head on to Pavilion KL for a simple tea time meal before heading on to UM for the Sports Carnival

Well this year they decided to put their Christmas Tree just outside the main entrance.IMHO its basically the same tree like last year, just that they changed it to gold from purple. But its still a crowd puller as many people took pictures of the tree with their phones or their DSLR. Have yet to visit the other major shopping centers so cant compare it now..

As for my tea time meal, I went to MOF (Ministry of Food, Not related to MOS though) which is located next to Pasta Mania..Its basically a Japanese kind of like a dessert shop that sells ice-cream, gelato , and other nice desserts. Their slogan is ”毎日MOFの日です" or Everyday is MOF day..

The slogan for Ministry Of Food..

Its actually my third being here therefore I ordered my favourite Kurimitsu(ChestNut) flavored Ice-cream which costs about Rm5.50. Portion was just right and the ice-cream's nice as well but might be bit ridiculously sweet for first-timers.

Next I tried their new item which resembles a mini waffle...I tried the white
chocolate sprinkled with black chocolate flakes on top of it..

I personally do not like it as its a bit too soft and the flavor does not complement the waffle. Luckily it only cost Rm3.00 or I'll be venting my frustration in this blog. But nonetheless MOF its a nice place to enjoy great desserts and hangout with your friends. And it also offers free WI-FI for those who wanna check their mails and blogs..

Will post about the sports carnival if I have time..
