Sunny Singapore Part 2

This is a continuation of Sunny Singapore Part 1..

I alighted at Outram Park MRT to meet my friend Lynn, who went to Singapore to work. I visited her room which is very very small, even my hostel room's bigger than us. But the security system of the shoplot is definitely top-notch. Apparently they used key cards and the door opens when you touch the keycard on the door.

This pic was taken from the rooftop of the shoplot..

Before we went to Clarke Quay, she went to her sis's house which I followed as well. Its located in Yishun but we alighted at Khatib MRT instead. The area is full of HDB flats but what was astonishing is the type of cars that the typical Singaporeans own.
Most of the residents own at least a Vios..Others drive Camry and I even saw a Mercedes C-class as well..You cant see these kind of cars in flats in Malaysia..

The walk to her sis's house from the MRT station was kinda long..About 5-10 mins. If its in Malaysia, I would definitely complaint of the long walk. But for Singaporeans, it is a norm. If I were to stay in Singapore would definitely need to walk walk and walk the whole time..

HDB flats with nice cars around it..

After that we went to Clarke Quay..Over there, there's lots of really nice(and expensive) restaurants, bars and cafes. There's also this Bungee thingy that is also available in KL.. I did not try the food over there as it is a bit too expensive for me to savour. But nonetheless, this is a really nice place to hangout at night.

The Bungee thingy..

Clarke Quay..

Loved this pic..Looks like the spaceship from Independence Day.

More pics from Clarke Quay

Notice the color changes from blue to purple..

That's all for Part 2..Stay tuned for part 3

Sunny Singapore Part 1

Just came back from Singapore..And its hot and I'm very tired..But I'll post pics and explain briefly about my recent trip to Singapore. This time however, I spent most of my trips on malls, malls and malls.. What was supposed to be a trip to East Coast Park was replaced by a 3 hour tour around Jurong Point.I'll explain more about this in the second part.

LCCT terminal. One of the most boring airport terminals in the world I suppose..Full of people and lack of sitting space inside the terminal is definitely not a good impression hence the low cost of the airfares..

My luggage and sling bag to accompany me for the trip.

My seat is near the window of the wing. Its definitely a nice place to take pictures of the beautiful sky..

I wished I took that plane instead..

The Immigration Counter in Terminal 1..The lady in charge of the immigration was friendly , a total contrast to the stern-looking immigration officers of our country.

The skytrain that I took in to go to Terminal 2 for me to board the MRT..

The Crowne Plaza..One of the best looking hotels that I have ever seen..It'll look magnificent at night I reckon.

After I had checked in at the Inncrowd Backpacker's Hostel which is located somewhere near Bugis, I went for lunch and like the last few trips, I went and tried the ever famous Katong Laksa. The laksa costs 3.50SGD and is very nice. I also ordered Teh C to compliment it for a very nice satisfying meal. Total cost:4.50SGD..

A construction that was in progress..

More pics to come..Tired..

Dont gamble on birthdays..

My 20th year of my life started with losing a total of Rm50 in two days. Most of it came from Black Jack..My luck ran out very fast this time and I ended up the biggest loser..Guess its a taboo to gamble on your birthday??

Went out with the Berher gang to 1U for some bowling and Wong Kok..Had a very large milk tea for free....There were 7 people and we almost cant finish the drink..

After that we went to Jing Qian's house at Ijok(45 mins from 1U,get some angpau's and off we go to Kuala Selangor for dinner.

We ate at the Riverside Restaurant..To my surprise, the restaurant has a nice ambience and has two LCD TV's to entertain the guests. We ate two fishes, some seafood thingy, vege and chicken. The total amount is Rm160 for 9 persons. I would give it a 3 out of 5 rating.

I'm also proud to announce that my cousin sister gave birth to a son and its on my birthday. His name is Ryan Neo and he'll be sharing the same birthday as me..Double celebration perhaps?? Lol.

Lazy to post the rest..That's all for now..

To Lele who had a bad encounter..

Today's the fourth day of Chinese New Year but I'm not in the mood to celebrate it at all as I still have my exams next Wed and Fri..And the worst thing is that I'm still unprepared for my exam.

I have to blame it on my bro's PSP..Been hooked on to Dissidia Final Fantasy which is easily one of the best games on the PSP..Because of it , I've completely abandoned Terra and the gang in Final Fantasy VI...Training Frionel to be a kick@$$ character proves to be a top priority than defeating the evil Kekfa..Aih..

Watched the first five episodes of 24 Season 7 and I've must say that Jack Bauer still rocks..

Hope to be able to get my Gears of War 2 tomorrow though.

Wanna sleep nao..Bye..

Ps..Lele get some 'forgetful' drink that get rid of bad memories..

To Lele who symphatizes the teeth instead..

On Friday I went to the dentist in Bangsar to get my wisdom teeth extraction. Since my parents were working, I have to take the dreaded public transport to go to the area.

Luckily the journey wasnt too long..Around 1 hour++..Once I reached the Bangsar LRT Station I took U87 from there to the Bangsar main area which includes Bangsar Village I and II. Even though its a weekday I can still see the cafes around the area were full with customers especially the angmohs.. I really like Bangsar for some reason. Nice restaurants, nice cars and shopping malls in a neighbourhood area. Maybe I could afford to live there one day..

Anyway just to make things simple, the extraction was done in less than 10 mins. First of all he sprayed some anesthetic on the teeth before injecting it TWICE with some other kind of anesthetic. It tastes bitter.. After that he used some electrical machine thingy, forgot the name but it reminds me of some tools from the Kemahiran Hidup subject and he basically cut the tissue around the teeth before removing it. Did not feel any pain at all.

The machine that was used to cut the tissue of the teeth..

The wisdom teeth that was extracted..Yes..Its that small.

I celebrated by having a light brunch at the Pelita mamak restaurant few blocks away from the dentistry. Ordered a mee goreng and teh tarik kurang manis. The food was so-so but I was very hungry so I'm satisfied with it..

My Brunch..

Lazy to post other stuff now..Not in a good mood..

A day at Mid Valley..

Today I went to Mid Valley Megamall with Janice and Diana..The two 'Tai Kar Jie'( Big Sister) asked me to accompany them to buy stuff for the upcoming New Year Countdown at Genting Highlands. Since my family is having some wedding dinner, I decided to go there and spend my time there.

When we reached our destination(4.45pm) the first we did was to survey the price of various items that we're gonna purchase(Snacks,Cup Noodles and Booze)..For some reason the price of alcohol is cheaper if u purchase it at Cold Storage(Chivas only)..

But since we have yet to have lunch..We decided to find a place to eat.. And I suggested the world famous Din Tai Fung(鼎泰峰) located underground at The Gardens..

Entrance to Din Tai Fung((鼎泰峰)

One of the dining areas available

Since Diana have to eat vegetarian food today, she has to order food that does not include meat, which means that she has to forgone the very popular and mouth watering XiaoLongPau..However the food that she ordered isnt too bad as well..

Dan Dan Mien..

Her Dan Dan Mien costs Rm10.80..The gravy is made of Peanut so its not meaty. I find it to be a bit salty though.Maybe its because of the sauce..

Vegetable Dumpling

To compensate for the XiaoLongPau , Diana ordered Vegetable Dumpling(Rm9.80). It was delicious but once u tried the XiaoLongPau, you wont want to eat this dumpling at all..Pity Diana..

Janice did not want to eat anything other than the XiaoLongPau so we ordered a combination of it and some other dumpling..

Prawn Dumpling I guess..

The World Famous XiaoLongPau Makes me drool..

The combo costs Rm18.80..The Prawn Dumpling was delicious as when u eat it the juice will flow out..I like to suck the juice out with my mouth but you can also eat it at once..Janice prefer the latter..But the skin was a bit too thick..

But the highlight of the day is of course the XiaoLongPau..I like very very much..Its not too thin nor too thick and I like the juice flowing out from the skin..Overall this dish is a must try..

I also tried the Char Jiang Mien (Rm12.00) which is ok..Not too nice..Still prefer the XiaoLongPau..Although the portion was not too big, the meal definitely made everyone of us full..

Char Jiang Mien..

After that we walked around Midvalley and I took the opportunity to take some pics of the Christmas Decorations around the area..

Diana and Janice..The retired and successor of the Treasurer of SBS SWC..Dont the two of them just look like sisters??

Another picture of the two loving 'Sisters' of SBS SWC..Guess who's older..Haha..

By the end of the day, we bought a LOT of stuffs there..Cup Noodles,Snacks and a bottle of Chivas..It was fun but we spent more than an HOUR trying to buy the most affordable cup noodles for everyone..I already recommended them to purchase the large Vermicelli packet but they refused for some reason..And in the end, it took us more than an HOUR..Lol..

But 'kudos' to Janice for 'willing' to take back all of the items back to her house first since its a bit too inconvenient for me and Diana to take it back..

Looking forward to the New Year Countdown Trip where Booze and Cup Noodles await us..
